Aaah!
Mad dash to complete the piano scores for this upcoming week. Wish me luck!!
Alex and I met up with the infinitely talented cast and crew of “Tangled” (all five of them) last night for our first reading rehearsal. It’s a unique and wonderful feeling to watch your music come to life, especially in the hands of such great musicians. It was also gratifying to see that the little creative nuggets we’ve been sitting on for months aren’t just beautiful in their doting parents’ eyes.
I can’t wait to meet with all of these people again and see what they do with the rest of the challenging music we’ll be giving them!
Who knew notating your own music could be so difficult!? I’m knee-deep in triplets and ties and syncopations. Save me!
Who doesn’t love a good “i’m-angry-and-going-to-launch-you-into-outerspace” song?
Alex and I went to meet up with a potential actor for our upcoming showcase of music from “Tangled” last night and it went really well, aside from the overly-long Saroyan play and the lack of proper ventilation in the theater.
The showcase date is set for April 7th. Time and location TBA. Mark your calendars!
