The latest reading of “Tangled” was quite wonderful (in spite of me forgetting just about everything I was supposed to bring). Our cast was great and I am totally looking forward to hearing some of the ensemble numbers at our upcoming vaudeville performance on the 13th (see Events page for details).
In other news, I’ve been deep in the trenches preparing piano reductions for auditions/callbacks for “The Great Unknown.” Inputting keyboard music is sort of like slow and painful death. I will remember this when orchestrating “Tangled…” I got to sit in on a production meeting for the show last week and the whole process has been very interesting. (AKA stealing all sorts of good advice for next year’s submissions to NYMF!)
I decided to go ahead and audition for the show itself and in preparation, had some new headshots taken by the marvelous Steph Leke (who is my neighbor up the street, coincidentally). This is my favorite so far…
Thoughts?
